- Most used surface treatment: Conventional liquid paint, 3-layer AWL-grip liquid paint system, thickness 120 µm. Also posibilities for use of International liquid paint systems.

- Various other surface treatments possible. A system often used is the application of a single-layer epoxy powder coating giving a thickness of about 90 µm. Applying a powder coating gives good coverage to areas difficult to reach. The shipyard can easily paint over this layer provided that the epoxy powder is light sanded and removed with a cloth soaked in methyl ethylene chloride.

- By mutual agreement the louvers can also be given a finish coat. This finish coat can be supplied by the shipyard, thus excluding any colour differences.
